Ignition Timing: Adjustments
1.
Engine should be at operating temperature.
Engine Component Locations:

Disconnect or clamp vacuum hose to vacuum advance unit. Hose can be found on right side of engine under rear part of intake manifold, between intake runners #4 and #5.
3.
Start engine and run at 3000 rpm.
4.
Check timing. Should be:
18° ± 2° BTDC 3000 rpm, vacuum unit disconnected
