Compressor Clutch Relay: Description and Operation
Compressor Clutch RelayPURPOSE A/C relay controls operation of compressor clutch. Vehicle wiring is configured so that when the A/C clutch relay closes to energize compressor magnetic clutch, ECU is informed. The ECU uses this input to calculate and implement idle speed corrections required to compensate for engine load changes due to A/C operation.
