Hard Starting / Hesitation - Fuel Codes 26 & 44

ISSUE:


Some EGR system copper sealing washers may soften on 1990 MY Sedan Range vehicles up to VIN 631322. A threaded adaptor may then loosen and leak, causing a hard engine start and/or a check engine warning (code 26 or 44). To prevent this from occurring, steel EGR pipe adaptors and washers are used in conjunction with a special sealant beginning with VIN 631322.
