To access the test:

Select "Fault Diagnostics" from the main menu; Select "Instrument Display".

Using software DBC 4040 it is possible to diagnose the following internal faults in the instrument pack:
Individual gauges Individual bulbs The flexible circuit board The LCD display The printed circuit board


Note: Gauges are only available in pairs.


To enable complete diagnosis some probing inside the instrument pack is required. JDS will request the pack be removed from the vehicle and opened. This should be done on a clean flat surface, taking care not to disconnect the printed circuit board from the flexible circuit board connectors.

When the pack is open JDS will then ask you to locate and probe pins inside the pack, however it will only show a picture of the entire car. To assist in locating the correct pins, the last two pages of this letter provide graphic layouts of connectors in the pack.
