Fuel Injector: Service and Repair

CAUTION: Observe all fire hazard precautions detailed in FUEL SYSTEMS / SERVICE PRECAUTIONS, when working on open fuel systems.
Fuel system MUST be depressurized before disconnecting any fueling component. Fuel Pressure Release
2. Note positions of injector electrical connectors and disconnect connectors.
3. Remove bolts securing fuel rail.
4. Disconnect fuel feed hose and fit protective plugs to rail and hose.
5. Disconnect fuel pressure regulator from rail.
6. Disconnect rail from intake manifold.

Fuel Pressure Regulator And Fuel Rail:

7. Place rail in suitable work area, remove injector retaining clips and remove injectors.
8. Fit new injectors to rail.
9. Reassemble in reverse order. Be sure injectors are fully seated in manifold.
