KEY POINTS: DRAIN SEALING MODIFICATION
To enable passive restraints to be incorporated on 1989 MY - onward Sedan Range and January 1987 manufacture - onward XJ-S vehicles, the Air Conditioning case was revised. Due to these revisions, it is possible for the drains to become blocked by excess sealant in the area of the drain separator plate.
To prevent this condition from occurring, sealing in the area of the separator plate was discontinued at VIN's 598224 (sedans) and 165565 (XJ-S).
NOTE: An additional drain hole was added to the separator plate at VIN's 601000 (sedans) and 168340 (XJ-S).
