At the time of confirming a booking for vehicle repair, please ensure that all outstanding Service Campaigns are identified to ensure the correct parts are available and adequate workshop time is allocated for repairs to be completed at one visit.

No parts are required
TOOLS:
IDS..........DVD104 with Patch File 3 or higher
WARRANTY:
Check DDW to verify that the vehicle is affected by this Service Action prior to undertaking any repair action. Ports of entry are updating affected vehicles during port processing, so many will already be repaired. DDW will be updated to reflect only those vehicles affected and un-repaired.
Warranty claims should be submiffed quoting Campaign Code S856, together with the relevant option code. This will result in payment of the stated time. As option codes are used, there is no requirement for you to the labor operation codes; these are repeated here for information only.
Normal warranty policy and procedures apply.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
UPDATE DIAGNOSTIC SOFTWARE TO LATEST CONFIGURATION
NOTE:
A software patch installation help file located on GTR provides instructions for the patch file installation process and could take up to six minutes to download depending on connection speed. For information on how to confirm that the patch file has been correctly installed onto IDS, refer to the applicable Patch Process Help File located in GTR.
Global Technical Reference (GTR) lookup sequence is as follows:
GTR Home > NAS > Diagnostics/XK (X150)> Patch Files > "Patch Process Help File" link.
1. If the integrated diagnostic system (IDS) has previously had the DVD 104 Patch File 3 installed, continue from "Perform 2007 MY Jaguar XK Software Enhancement Program" section below.
NOTE:
Previous patch file versions should be installed before the latest version. The software patch installation help file provides instructions for the patch file installation process and could take up to six minutes to download dependent on connection speed.
NOTE:
It could take up to twenty minutes to download the patch file, dependent on connection speed. Patch File 2 for DVD 104 is substantial in size. If Patch File 2 as well as Patch File 3 must be loaded, an alternative download site for Patch 2 is available from JBN/Product Support under Job Aids > IDS > Alternate patch download site.
2. If the integrated diagnostic system (IDS) has previously had the DVD 104 Patch File 3 is NOT installed, download the IDS software patch installation help file from GTR as follows:
^ Logon to GTR
^ Select "Home" from the menu at the top of the main page.
^ From the menus on the left of the page, select "Diagnostics" as the "Information Type" and select the relevant model and model year.
^ From the "All Information" results, select "Patch Files".
^ Click the file link "Patch Process Help File".
3. Using the above help file, follow the instructions to download and install the software patch file DVD 104, Patch File 3 into IDS and ensure IDS successfully restarts.
PERFORM 2007 MY JAGUAR XK SOFTWARE ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM
CAUTION:
A Midtronics PSC-550 Vehicle Power Supply must be connected to the vehicle battery during diagnosis and module configuration.
The diagnostic lead must be correctly secured to prevent accidental disconnection during the software update.
1. Connect the diagnostic equipment to the vehicle and begin an IDS session.
2. Follow the on-screen prompts and enter the vehicle VIN.
3. Wait while the vehicle configuration file (CCF) uploads.
4. Select the "Configuration Tab" and select "Module Programming" from the menu then select "Configure Existing Modules".
5. Select and run "Software Enhancement Program".
NOTE:
The "Mirror Personalization" option is NOT to be programmed. ONLY the following modules will be reprogrammed in this Service Action:
^ Driver's door module
^ Central junction box (body control module)
^ Instrument cluster control module
^ Keyless vehicle module
^ Passenger's door module
^ Restraints control module
^ Auxiliary junction box (body control module B)
NOTE:
IDS will not remember which modules have been programmed in the "Software Enhancement Program." A good work practice is to keep a simple check list of the above listed modules and mark each module as the software download has been completed satisfactorily.
CAUTION:
The Restraints Control Module reprogramming will launch a number of questions which can present problems for some users. Jaguar has provided answer information in the bullets below to assist with these questions.
^ Region? - select "North America"
^ "Restraints occupant classification system (OCS)" -
> up to VIN B09097 - select "Not fitted"
> after VIN B09097 - select "Fitted"
^ "Is the passenger's seat track position restraints sensor fitted" - VIN between B00001 to VIN B03408 NOT listed in Table - select "Fitted"
> VIN listed in Table - select "Not fitted"
> VIN B03409 onward - select "Not fitted"
6. Follow the on-screen instructions and program the modules in order shown on the screen.
7. Disconnect the diagnostic equipment from the vehicle.
