Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT) Oil Control Solenoid

Removal

NOTE:
Removal of the RH is similar to this procedure.
1 Remove the cover and disconnect the battery ground cable.
2 Remove the LH valve cover. For additional information, refer to Valve Cover LH Valve Cover LH




3 Remove the VCT oil control solenoid.
- Remove the bolt.

Installation
1 Install the VCT oil control solenoid.
- Clean the components.
- Tighten the bolt to 10 Nm (7 lb.ft).
2 Install the LH valve cover. For additional information, refer to Valve Cover LH Valve Cover LH
3 Connect the battery ground cable and install the cover.
