Removal
1 Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Battery Disconnect and Connect Battery Disconnect and Connect
2 Remove the engine cover. For additional information, refer to Engine Cover - 4.2L, Vehicles Without: Supercharger Service and Repair




3 Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector.




4 Release the CMP sensor electrical connector.




5 Remove the CMP sensor.
- Remove the Torx bolt.
- Remove and discard the O-ring seal.

Installation
1 Install is the reverse of removal.




2 Tighten to 7 Nm.
- Install a new O-ring seal.
