Front Subframe
This is a "Trustmark Authoring Standards (TAS) Repair Procedure"
- TAS style procedures can be identified by steps that have no accompanying step text and the magenta color of the electrical connectors and fasteners such as nuts, bolts, clamps or clips.
- TAS removal and installation procedures use a sequence of color illustrations to indicate the order to be followed when removing/disassembling or installing/assembling a component.
- Many of the TAS procedures will have the installation information within the removal steps.
- The TAS color illustrations use a variety of symbols to indicate important details of the procedures. It is important to understand these symbols in order to properly used the TAS procedures.

Removal

Support Beam Arm and Hook Assembly, Engine, 303-662

WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.
1 Raise and support the vehicle.









Torque to: 7 Nm





Torque to: 20 Nm









Torque to: 20 Nm





CAUTION: LH illustration shown, RH is similar.
Stabilizer bar link to stabilizer bar: 43 Nm
Stabilizer bar link to lower arm nut and bolt: 70 Nm
Repeat the above step for the other side.





CAUTION: Note the fitted position of the special washers.

NOTE:
Make sure that the component is installed to the noted removal position.

Torque to: 175 Nm
Repeat the above step for the other side.





NOTE:

Torque to: 100 Nm





CAUTION: Note the fitted position of the special washers.

NOTE:
Make sure that the component is installed to the noted removal position.

Torque to: 175 Nm
Using a suitable stand, support the wheel knuckle and lower arms.
Repeat the above step for the other side.





Torque to: 63 Nm













CAUTION: Make sure that new subframe bolts are installed.
Stage 1: 80 Nm
Stage 2:
270 degree





CAUTION: Make sure that new subframe bolts are installed.
Stage 1: 80 Nm
Stage 2:
240 degree





CAUTION: When lowering the special tool care must be taken to manoeuvre the special tool so that the front subframe does not touch the air conditioning (A/C) pipes. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the A/C pipes.





NOTE:
Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.

Torque to: 12 Nm





Torque to: 55 Nm





Torque to: 8 Nm





Installation
1 To install, reverse the removal procedure.
