Fuel Pressure Release: Service and Repair

Fuel System Pressure Release
1 Remove the fuel pump fuse.
2 Remove the fuel filler cap.

CAUTION: When depressurizing the fuel system, make sure that there is no throttle input. Failure to follow this instruction may cause damage to the vehicle.
3 Start the engine and allow it to idle until the engine stalls.
4 Crank the engine for approximately five seconds to make sure that the fuel rail pressure is released.

NOTE:
Make sure all repairs have been carried out before proceeding to the following steps.
1 Install the fuel pump fuse.
2 Install the fuel filler cap.
3 Read and clear stored DTC fault codes.
