Oxygen Sensor: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect connector and remove sensor from exhaust manifold.
2. Clean threads in manifold.
3. Coat replacement sensor threads with suitable anti-seize compound.
4. Install sensor and torque to 31 ft. lbs.

NOTE: Ensure that wire terminal ends are properly seated in plug before connecting connector.

5. Connect connector. Do not push rubber boot on sensor more than 1/2 inch above base.

NOTE: Oxygen sensor pigtail wires cannot be spliced or soldered. If broken, sensor must be replaced.
