Torque Bias Test

MODELS 219 & 229 TRANSFER CASES

1. Place vehicle on level surface, then shut off engine.
2. Place transmission shift lever in Neutral and transfer case shift lever in 4-HIGH position.
3. Raise and support vehicle so that one front wheel is off ground.
4. Remove hub cap from raised wheel.
5. Install torque wrench on a lug nut of raised wheel and rotate wheel with torque wrench to measure torque required to rotate wheel.
6. If required torque is at least 45 ft. lbs., viscous coupling is satisfactory.
