Normal Braking

DURING NORMAL BRAKING
During normal braking, as the brake pedal is depressed by the driver, pressurized fluid flows from the master cylinder/power booster assembly through the modulator to the brake calipers and wheel cylinders. As mentioned earlier, the system is three channel design; the front brakes are controlled individually and the rear brakes are controlled together. All three channels are independent but operate identically.

During normal braking the anti-lock Electronic Control Unit (ECU) monitors the brake system operation, however, it does not control system operation.
