Fluid Supply

The system main fluid supply is contained in the master cylinder/power booster reservoir and accumulator. Additional fluid is also contained in the accumulator located in the booster pump and motor assembly.

Fluid in the accumulators is stored at a pressure of about 1700-2000 psi. The system contains enough pressurized fluid for power assist braking for numerous brake applications during normal operation should the pump become inoperative and not provide high pressure assist.
