SPS Solenoid

The solenoid is a pulse width-modulated device that controls the amount of fluid flow to the steering gear. It is mounted on the power steering pump in the high pressure port. The solenoid operates at 250 Hz to control the fluid flow. The duty cycle of the solenoid is controlled by the SPS control module. As the duty cycle is increased, the fluid flow is decreased.
