Steering Wheel Speed Sensor

The steering wheel speed sensor is a magneto resistive type sensor mounted in the steering column below the clock spring and is used to sense steering wheel turning rate. The sensor has two signal outputs that are 90° out of phase of each other. Each output pulse represents 30 of rotation. This signal is used by the control module to calculate steering wheel rpm.
