B1151-RIGHT REAR HEATED SEAT SWITCH STUCK





For a complete wiring diagram, refer to the Wiring Information.

- When Monitored:
Ignition on.

- Set Condition:
This code is set whenever the Cluster detects a heated seat switch sense input for more than 10 seconds.





1. VERIFY THAT DTC B1151-RIGHT REAR HEATED SEAT SWITCH STUCK IS ACTIVE
1. With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs
2. Cycle the ignition switch off then back on.
3. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Does the DTC B1151-RIGHT REAR HEATED SEAT SWITCH STUCK reset?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

2. HEATED SEAT SWITCH
1. With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs
2. Disconnect the Right Rear Heated Seat Switch.
3. Cycle the ignition switch off then back on.
4. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Does the DTC B1151-RIGHT REAR HEATED SEAT SWITCH STUCK reset?

Yes

- Go To 3

No

- Replace the Right Rear Heated Seat Switch.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

3. CHECK THE (P166) RIGHT REAR HEATED SEAT SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT FOR A PARTIAL SHORT TO GROUND




1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Cluster C1 connector.
3. Measure the resistance between ground and the (P166) Right Rear Heated Seat Switch Sense circuit.

Was the resistance below 10K ohms?

Yes

- Repair the (P166) Right Rear Heated Seat Switch Sense circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

No

- Replace the Cluster.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
