Oxygen Sensor: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect connector and remove sensor from manifold.
2. Clean threads in manifold,
3. Coat replacement sensor threads with anti-seize compound.
4. Install sensor and torque to 20-25 ft, lbs.

CAUTION: Make sure that wire terminal ends are properly seated in plug before connecting plug.

5. Connect connector. Do not push rubber boot down on sensor more than 1/2 inch above base.

NOTE: Oxygen sensor pigtail wires cannot be spliced or soldered. If broken, replace sensor.
