Computers and Control Systems: Tools and Equipment
DescriptionThe following equipment is needed to perform the diagnostic tests: a hand vacuum pump, a digital volt-ohmmeter with a minimum ohms-per-volt input impedance of 10 Meg-ohms, and a No. 158 lamp bulb with socket and jumper wires.
NOTE: When performing system diagnosis, the following safety precautions must be followed: Shape a sheet of clear acrylic plastic 0.25 inch thick and 15 inches square. Secure acrylic sheet with air cleaner wing nut after air cleaner top has been removed. Wear suitable eye protection when performing tests.
After completing a repair, repeat the test to ensure that the malfunction has been eliminated.
