DEALER SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS

California Emissions Recall # 562 -- Oxygen Sensor

^ This service requirement applies only to 1987 through 1990 model year Jeep Cherokee and Wagoneer (XJ); and Comanche (MJ) vehicles equipped with a 4.0L engine and located in California.

^ 1988 model year vehicles equipped with a California emission system were previously recalled for oxygen sensor replacement (California Emissions Recall # 316T) and are not included in this recall.

^ This recall is subject to the State of California Registration Renewal/Emissions Recall Enforcement Program. Since involved vehicles must have the recall service completed before registration renewal, dealers should provide prompt service to prevent possible registration delays.

Be sure to provide a Vehicle Emission Recall Proof of Correction Form (Form No. 81-016-1053) to each owner upon completion of the recall service, for owner use as proof during renewal of the vehicle registration.
