Control Assembly: Testing and Inspection

A/C Module Schematic:

1. Disconnect the wiring harness from the control module.
2. Connect an ohmmeter between terminals 3 and 4.
3. Check the resistance in the following temperature control lever positions:
Cold position 0-100 ohms
Warm position approximately 10,000 ohms
Hot position infinite ohms
4. If the resistance is incorrect, replace the potentiometer.
NOTE: If the resistance in the Hot position is not infinity, check for shorted wiring before replacing the potentiometer.
