Ignition Power Module (MPA)

Ignition Control Module:

Ignition Power Module (MPA) triggers the ignition coil, and has the ability to advance or retard the timing depending upon the signals sent by the ECU. The ECU uses control system inputs to determine at what time and to what degree the ignition timing needs to be altered. Some system inputs that affect the signals to the MPA are:

- Coolant Temperature Sensor
- MAP Sensor
- MAT Sensor
- Closed Throttle Switch
- Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)
