Throttle Full Open Switch: Service and Repair

Wide Open Throttle (WOT) Switch Description:

REMOVAL

1. Remove the air inlet bonnet.
2. Disconnect and remove the throttle return springs.
3. Disconnect the accelerator cable.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the WOT switch.
5. Remove the two (2) mounting screws, and remove the WOT switch.



INSTALLATION

1. Install the new WOT switch on the throttle bracket, but don't tighten the mounting screws all of the way at this time.
2. Connect the electrical connector from the wire harness to the WOT switch.
3. Connect the accelerator cable.
4. Adjust the WOT switch. Refer to ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES.
5. Fully tighten the mounting screws after the WOT switch has been adjusted.
6. Install the air inlet bonnet.
