Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Crankshaft Position Sensor 4.0L:

The crankshaft position sensor is mounted in the transmission housing at the rear of the engine block.

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect the wire connector.

2. Remove 2 bolts attaching speed sensor to the transmission housing.

INSTALLATION

1. Install the speed sensor using 2 shoulder bolts.

2. Connect the wire connector.
