Throttle Full Open Switch: Adjustments

Wide Open Throttle Switch Adjustment:

This adjustment is only required after the WOT switch has been replaced, and is only used to establish its initial position in relation to the throttle valve.

1. With the engine off, fasten the throttle valve in the wide open throttle position.
2. Attach an angle measuring gauge to the flat surface of the throttle lever.
3. Rotate the degree scale of the gauge until 12 degree mark is aligned with the gauge pointer.
4. Center the gauge bubble between the alignment marks, using the bubble adjusting screw.
5. Rotate the gauge degree scale until the zero degree mark is aligned with the gauge pointer.
6. Rotate the throttle lever away from wide open throttle until the gauge bubble is located between the alignment marks. This positions the throttle lever 12 degrees before wide open throttle.
7. Rotate the WOT switch until the switch lever contacts the throttle lever cam. Stop rotating the switch when it makes a "clicking" noise, and tighten the mounting screws to 8 in. lbs.
8. After the switch mounting screws have been secured, recheck that the WOT switch "clicks" when the throttle valve is 12 degrees before wide open throttle.
9. Remove angle measuring gauge.
