Throttle Full Open Switch: Description and Operation

Wide Open Throttle (WOT) Switch:

This switch is attached to the base of the carburetor via a mounting bracket. The purpose of this switch is to indicate a wide open throttle condition to the MCU via a voltage signal. This switch is a mechanically operated electrical switch. The switch contacts are normally open, and are activated closed by a cam on the throttle shaft. The cam activates the switch at 15~ before wide open throttle to indicate a wide open throttle condition to the MCU. The MCU compensates for the wide open throttle condition by increasing the dwell of the stepper motor which richens the air/fuel mixture.
