Crankshaft Position Sensor: Testing and Inspection

Crankshaft Position Sensor Electrical Connector:

NOTE:
To perform a complete test of the CPS and it's circuitry, refer to the appropriate Powertrain Diagnostic Chart. To test the CPS only, refer to the following:

PROCEDURE

1. Near the rear of intake manifold, disconnect (CPS) pigtail harness connector from main wiring harness.

2. Place an ohmmeter across terminals A and B. The meter reading should be open (no resistance). Replace sensor if any resistance is indicated.
