State Display


STATE DISPLAY

Data acquired from sensors during the system test can be read from the DRB-II through the STATE DISPLAY function. The following information can be read:


TCU VERSION A two-digit number exclusively assigned to the vehicle in which the transmission is installed.

TPS Shows a bar graph with 7 segments corresponding to the throttle position sensor position and throttle plate angles. A functioning TPS should yield all 7 segments when exercised through its complete range.

RPM Shows the output shaft revolutions per minute.

BRAKE SWITCH Shows whether the brake pedal is "PRESSED" or "RELEASED" relative to the state of the brake switch.

SLP Shows the shift lever position. "PRND" is displayed if the selector is in park, reverse, neutral, or drive. "1-2" is displayed if the selector is in the lowest gear position, and "3" is displayed if the selector is in the intermediate gear position.

Si+/-, S2+/-, S3+/- Shows whether a solenoid is on (+) or off (-).

GEAR Shows what gear the transmission is currently in (1st through 4th).
