Engine Control Module: Service and Repair

NOTE: The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is located in the engine compartment behind the washer fluid reservoir.

Diagnostic Connector Location:

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect battery negative cable.

2. Remove washer fluid reservoir.

Engine Controller:

3. Loosen 60-way connector mounting screw until connector can be disengaged from Powertrain Control Module.

4. Pull 60-way connector straight back from Powertrain Control Module.

5. Remove Powertrain Control Module mounting screws.

6. Remove Powertrain Control Module.


INSTALLATION
1. Install Powertrain Control Module. Torque mounting screws to 1 Nm (9 in. lbs.).

2. Engage 60-way connector into Powertrain Control Module. Torque connector mounting screw to 4 Nm (35 in. lbs.).

3. Connect negative cable to battery.

4. Install washer fluid reservoir.
