NOTE:
THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO TWO WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLES.
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The Downstream Oxygen Sensor electrical harness may contact the propeller shaft. This may cause harness damage, Oxygen Sensor damage, and/or illumination of the Malfunction Indicator Light.
DIAGNOSIS:
If any of the symptoms stated above are present, inspect the harness where it is routed over the propeller shaft. The harness must be secured and routed so that no contact with the propeller shaft is possible. If the harness is not properly routed and secured, perform the repair procedure.
PARTS REQUIRED:
AR 52107588 Clip
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This bulletin involves repairing, routing and securing the Oxygen Sensor harness away from the propeller shaft.
1. Repair any harness or Oxygen Sensor damage that may be present.
2. Install clip P/N 52107588 to the underbody heat shield as shown. Route the harness through the clip to assure that the harness will not contact the propeller shaft. Use as many clips as are necessary to accomplish the routing.
