Ambient Temperature Sensor / Switch HVAC: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.

Ambient Temperature Sensor Remove/Install:




2. Locate the ambient temperature sensor, below the grille and behind the front bumper.
3. Unplug the sensor wire harness connector.
4. Remove the screw that secures the ambient temperature sensor to the radiator support.
5. Remove the ambient temperature sensor.
6. Reverse the removal procedures to install. Tighten the ambient temperature sensor mounting screw to 3.4 N.m (30 in lbs.).
