DISCUSSION:

Whenever refrigerant leaks are encountered at the A/C hose manifold on the compressor, make sure the attaching bolt is securely holding the manifold to the compressor body. Tolerance stack up can lead to a situation where the bolt bottoms in the thread bore prior to application of the proper clamp load. This can cause refrigerant leaks. The situation can be easily eliminate by installing a flat washer under the bolt head. A washer should be installed whenever leaks are encountered in this area.
