Fuel System Pressure Release Procedure

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove fuel tank filler cap to release tank pressure.
2. Unscrew protective plastic cap from pressure test port on fuel rail.
3. Obtain hose from gauge tool set No. 5069, or equivalent, then place gauge end of hose into a suitable gasoline container.
4. Position shop towel beneath test port, then thread free end of hose onto port.
5. After pressure has been relieved, remove hose and install protective plastic cap on test port.
