DEALER SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS
Safety Recall # 775 -- Front Shoulder Belt Adjustable Anchors

^ This service requirement applies only to:

^ 1998 Model Year Jeep Cherokee (XJ) Vehicles Built From January 13, 1998 Through January 16, 1998 (MDH 011300 Through 011611)

^ 1998 Model Year Jeep Wrangler (TJ) Vehicles Built From January 12, 1998 Through January 16, 1998 (MDH 011209 Through 011608)

^ The front shoulder belt adjustable anchors on the above listed vehicles, may have been improperly manufactured and could have inadequate strength. To correct this condition, both front shoulder belt adjustable anchors must be replaced.

^ Dealers are encouraged to consider alternative scheduling and servicing approaches for this recall. This repair does not require hoists or other full service facility special equipment and is a CHRYSLER MOBILE SERVICE approved repair.

Parts Packages:

^ Two (2) unique part packages are required for this recall depending upon the vehicle being serviced. Each involved dealer, to whom vehicles in the recall were invoiced, will receive enough Front Shoulder Belt Adjustable Anchor Packages to service about 50% of those vehicles.

Dealers should determine which parts package is required for each vehicle at the time appointments are scheduled to assure that the correct parts package is available when the customer arrives. Refer to the Parts section for details.
