WARNING:
ALLOW ADEQUATE TIME FOR THE ENGINE AND COOLING SYSTEM TO COOL PRIOR TO ATTEMPTING THIS REPAIR. SERVICING THE SYSTEM WHILE THE COOLANT IS HOT CAN LEAD TO SERIOUS BURNS.

1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.

2. Remove the radiator cap.

3. Remove the grill to gain access to the drain petcock. Install an adequate length of 1/4 inch hose to petcock and drain the coolant into a clean container, saving it for later use.

8. Mark the position of the hood latch striker and remove the striker.

9. Remove the upper radiator cross member.

10. Separate the A/C condenser from the radiator, if equipped.

11. Lift the radiator up and out of the engine compartment.

13. Install the new radiator, reversing the removal procedure. Tighten the radiator cross member to isolator nuts to 10 Nm (86 in. lbs.) Tighten the isolator to radiator nuts to 5 Nm (47 in. lbs.). Tighten the electric cooling fan and fan shroud screws to 3 Nm (31 in. lbs.)

14. Fill the system with the coolant removed previously. Operate the system to purge any trapped air from the system and top off the coolant if necessary.

15. Check the automatic transmission fluid level and top off if necessary.
