Shift Solenoid: Testing and Inspection

TRANSMISSION SOLENOID TESTING

Testing Transmission Valve Body Solenoid:

Test solenoid resistance with an ohmmeter. Connect the ohmmeter leads to the solenoid mounting bracket and to the solenoid wire terminal.
Solenoid resistance should be 11 - 15 ohms. Replace the solenoid if resistance is above or below the specified range.
