P1763 Governor Pressure Sensor Volts Too High

SYMPTOM
P1763-GOVERNOR PRESSURE SENSOR VOLTS TOO HIGH

WHEN MONITORED
Continuously with the key on and the engine running.

SET CONDITION
This code Will set when the voltage from the governor pressure sensor is above 4.89 volts for 8.5 seconds.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Check fluid level and condition
- Check for park neutral DTC's present
- Intermittent governor pressure sensor signal
- Other transmission DTC's present
- 5 Volt supply circuit open
- Sensor ground circuit open
- Gov press sensor sig ckt shorted to voltage
- Gov pressure sensor signal circuit open
- PCM defective
- Gov press sensor sig circuit open at harness
- Gov press sensor sig ckt sht to volts at harness
- Gov press sensor 5V supply open at harness
- Sensor ground circuit open at harness
- Governor pressure sensor defective (high)
