Shift Solenoid: Testing and Inspection

TRANSMISSION VALVE BODY SOLENOIDS





Test solenoid resistance with an ohmmeter. Connect the ohmmeter leads to the solenoid mounting bracket and to the solenoid wire terminal (Fig. 286).
Solenoid resistance should be 11-15 ohms. Replace the solenoid if resistance is above or below the specified range.
