Heating and Air Conditioning: Locations
The high pressure service port is located on the liquid line near the receiver/drier. The low pressure service port is located on the suction line near the evaporator at the rear of the engine compartment. The compressor clutch relay is located in the Power Distribution Center (PDC) in the engine compartment.
Both a/c heater control panels are located on the instrument panel inboard of the steering column and below the radio.
The rear window defogger push button switch is also located on a/c heater control panel.
The A/C pressure transducer is installed on a fitting located on the refrigerant discharge line near the condenser.
The temperature sensor is located in the center instrument panel, between the dual temperature knobs of the AZC.
The vacuum check valve is located on the bottom of the HVAC unit behind the passenger front floor duct on the black vacuum line.
The evaporator probe is a 2 wire temperature sensing element located at the coldest point on the face of the evaporator.
The blower motor and blower wheel are located in the passenger side end of the HVAC housing, below the glove box module.
The suction and discharge ports located on the cylinder head.
A high pressure relief valve is located on the compressor manifold, which is on the side of the compressor.
The condenser is located in the air flow in front of the engine cooling radiator.
The "H" valve type Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) is located at the front of the heater-A/C housing between the liquid and suction lines and the evaporator coil.
The evaporator coil is located in the HVAC housing, under the instrument panel.
The heater core is located in the HVAC housing, under the instrument panel.
The low pressure hose (Blue with Black stripe) attaches to the suction service port. This port is located on the suction line near the dash panel.
The high pressure hose (Red with Black stripe) attaches to the discharge service port. This port is located on the discharge line between the compressor and the condenser inlet.
