A. Set Up and Calibrate the DRB III

NOTE:
A SuperCard 2 Will be required to perform this test.





1. Plug the 6-way pressure input cable connector (CH7057) into the PEP module port marked PSI (Figure 1).





2. Attach the extension cable (CH7060) to the "CH 1" port on the multiple outlet end of the 6-way pressure input cable (Figure 2).

3. Connect the 500 psi transducer (235159) to the other end of the extension cable (Figure 2).

4. Connect the pressure fitting adapter (CH8512) to the end of the transducer.

5. Connect the diagnostic connector cable (CH7000) to the DRB III power connector marked "VEHICLE" Connect the other end of the cable to the diagnostic connector located under the steering column.

6. Calibrate the DRB III pressure transducer using the procedure below:

a. Press "Yes" on the DRB III liability screen.

b. From the main menu, select (# 4) "PEP Module Tools" and press Enter.

c. From the PEP Module Tools Menu select (# 1) "Pressure/Vacuum Gauge" and press Enter. Then observe the Warning Screen and press "Yes"

d. From the Digital Pressure Main Menu, select (# 1) "Live Data Display" and press Enter.

e. From the Live Data Set Up screen, press Enter to scroll to the 500 psi transducer.

f. Press F4 to calibrate the transducer. Then press F3 to start the test.

7. Disconnect the pressure fitting adapter from the transducer.

8. For vehicles equipped with a:

> 3.7 liter engine, continue with Section B - Test Fuel Pump Pressure.

> 2.4 liter engine, continue with Section C - Test Fuel Pump Pressure.
