Clutch Switch Relay: Description and Operation
CLUTCH SWITCH OVERRIDE RELAYDESCRIPTION
The clutch pedal position switch override relay is located in the Power Distribution Center (PDC). Refer to PDC cover label for location within PDC.
OPERATION
The clutch pedal position switch override relay, inhibits operation of the clutch pedal position switch when the vehicle transfer case is in the four wheel drive low-range position. This enables the starter motor to operate without depressing the clutch pedal, for off-road applications. If Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) for the override relay or transfer case switch are stored, override relay will be inhibited.
