Camshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor:






REMOVAL
1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove engine cover

Camshaft Position Sensor:




3. Disconnect camshaft position sensor electrical connector.
4. Remove retaining bolt, seal and remove sensor.

INSTALLATION

Camshaft Position Sensor:




1. Install camshaft position sensor and tighten bolt to 10.8 N-m (95 in lbs.).
2. Reconnect electrical connector.
3. Install engine cover.
4. Reconnect negative battery cable.
