Glow Plug: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove generator.

Cylinder Head Assembly:

3. Disconnect glow plug electrical connectors.

Intake Manifold Air Inlet Tube:

NOTE: The intake manifold inlet tube must be removed to remove the cylinder # 3 glow plug.

4. Remove glow plugs from cylinder head.

INSTALLATION
1. Install glow plugs all the way into cylinder head, hand tight, until the thread stops.
2. Tighten glow plugs to 12.5 N.m (110 in.lbs.).
3. Connect glow plug electrical connectors.
4. Install intake manifold air inlet tube.
5. Install generator.
6. Connect negative battery cable.
