Quarter Panel Trim

PANEL-QUARTER TRIM

REMOVAL




1. Fold the second row seat (4) forward.




2. Position the C-pillar trim (1) out of the way, Refer to Trim Panel.




3. Using a trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, release the retaining clips that secure the header trim molding in the liftgate opening and remove.




4. Using a trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, release the retaining clips that secure the scuff plate (1) and remove.




5. Remove the rear seat.




6. Remove the bolt (5) and remove the lower seat belt anchor (4).




7. Position the D-pillar trim aside, Refer to Trim Panel.




8. Remove the three screws and separate the trim panel (3). Disconnect the electrical connector (2), if equipped.




9. For the right side trim, remove the three screws and separate the trim panel (3). Disconnect the electrical connector (1), if equipped.

INSTALLATION




1. Position the quarter trim panel in the vehicle.
2. If equipped, connect the wire harness connector to the power outlet.
3. Seat the trim panel fully and install the three screws that secure the quarter trim panel to the quarter panel.




4. For the right side trim, align the rear HVAC ducts and seat the trim panel fully. Install the screws.




5. Install the D-pillar trim.




6. Position the seat belt lower anchor (4) to the outboard rear corner of the third row seat support bracket (1). Be certain that the belt webbing is not twisted between the top of the seat back and the lower anchor.
7. Install and tighten the screw (5) that secures the lower anchor to the seat support bracket. Tighten the screw to 43 N.m (32 ft.lbs).




8. Position the seat into the vehicle and align the front hooks with the strikers (4).
9. Position the rear of the seat over the rear studs and locator pins (1).
10. Install the center nut and bolt (2) and tighten to 50 N.m (37 ft.lbs).
11. Install the outer nuts (3) and tighten to 50 N.m (37 ft.lbs).




12. Position the lower trim (1) and seat the retaining clips fully.




13. Position the header molding (2) into place and seat the retaining clips fully.




14. Install the C-pillar trim (1).
15. Position the second row seats back.
