Trailer Hitch: Service and Repair

HITCH - TRAILER

REMOVAL




1. Remove the rear fascia.
2. Disconnect the trailer wiring connector (1) harness.

NOTE: 7-way connector shown, 4 way similar.




3. Remove the bolts (3) and remove the hitch (2).

INSTALLATION




1. Install the hitch (2) onto the rear body cradle (1) and install the bolts (3).
2. Tighten the bolts (3) to 156 N.m (115 ft.lbs).




3. Connect the trailer connector wire harness (1).

NOTE: 7-way connector shown, 4 way similar.

4. Install the rear fascia.
