Rear Defroster Duct

DUCT-DISTRIBUTION

NOTE: Right side upper distribution duct shown in illustration. Left side duct similar.

REMOVAL

UPPER DISTRIBUTION DUCT




1. Remove the interior quarter trim panel from the side of the vehicle being serviced.
2. Disengage the retainer (2) or remove the screws that secure the upper distribution duct (1) to the rear HVAC housing (3) or the left interior quarter trim panel, depending on the duct being serviced.
3. Disconnect the upper distribution duct from the rear HVAC housing or left upper air outlet, depending on application and remove the duct from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION




1. Position the upper distribution duct (1) to the top of the rear HVAC housing (3) or the left upper air outlet, depending on application and connect the duct to the housing or outlet.
2. Engage the retainer (2) or install the screws that secure the upper distribution duct to the rear HVAC housing or left interior quarter trim panel, depending on the duct being serviced.
3. Install the interior quarter trim panel onto the side of the vehicle being serviced.

REMOVAL

LOWER DISTRIBUTION DUCT




1. Remove rear HVAC housing (1) and place it on a workbench.
2. Remove the screw (3) that secures the lower distribution duct (2) to the rear HVAC housing.
3. Disconnect the lower distribution duct from the rear HVAC housing and remove the duct.

INSTALLATION




1. Position the lower distribution duct (2) to the rear HVAC housing (1) and connect the duct to the front of the housing.
2. Install the screw (3) that secures the lower distribution duct to the rear HVAC housing. Tighten the screw to 2 N.m (17 in. lbs.).
3. Install the rear HVAC housing.
