Front

NOTE: The front reading lamps are integral to the overhead console in the headliner near the windshield.

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Using a small thin-bladed screwdriver, gently pry the notched (forward) end (2) of the reading lamp lens away from the overhead console far enough to unsnap the lens from the two pivot pins in the lamp housing.
3. Pull the notched end of the lens downward and slide it forward far enough to disengage the switch tab (1) on the rearward edge of the lens from between the overhead console and the switch plunger.
4. Remove the lens from the housing.

5. Using a small thin-bladed screwdriver, gently pry each side of the shield (1) away from the lamp reflector (2) and bulb (3) far enough to remove the shield from the lamp housing.

6. Carefully unsnap the bulb (2) from the two bulb holders (1) within the lamp housing.
7. Remove the bulb from the lamp.

INSTALLATION

CAUTION: Always use the correct bulb size and type for replacement. An incorrect bulb size or type may overheat and cause damage to the lamp, the socket and/or the lamp wiring.

1. Align the ends of the bulb (2) with the two bulb holders (1) within the overhead console lamp housing.
2. Carefully press the bulb firmly and evenly into the bulb holders until it snaps into place.

3. Position the shield (1) over the lamp reflector (2) and bulb (3) within the lamp housing.
4. Using hand pressure, push both ends of the shield up into the housing to secure it into place.

5. Engage the switch tab (1) on the rearward edge of the lens (2) between the overhead console and the switch plunger.
6. Position the pivots on both forward sides of the lens over the pivot pins in the lamp housing.
7. Using hand pressure over both lens pivots, press upward firmly and evenly until both pivots snap into place.
8. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
