Cylinder Head - Surface Variation

Inspect the cylinder head for out-of-flatness, using a straightedge and a feeler gauge. If tolerances exceed 0.0508 mm (0.002 in.) replace the cylinder head.

Cylinder Head Bolts Torque Specification:

Cylinder Head Bolt


Camshaft Sprocket-Bolt 122 Nm (90 ft. lbs.)

Exhaust Manifold to Cylinder Head 31 Nm (23 ft. lbs.)

Intake Manifold

Install intake manifold retaining bolts, and tighten in sequence from the middle bolts towards the outside in a crisscross pattern.
Torque fasteners to 12 Nm (106 in. lbs.)
