U0121-LOST COMMUNICATION WITH ANTI-LOCK BRAKE MODULE (ABS)






For a complete wiring diagram, refer to the wiring information Electrical Diagrams.

- When Monitored:

Continuously when the ignition is on.

Battery voltage between 10 and 16 volts.

Ignition Off Draw (IOD) fuse installed.

Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) is configured correctly.

- Set Condition:

The Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) doesn't receive the Antilock Brake System (ABS) message over the CAN C BUS circuit for approximately 2 to 5 seconds.

Possible Causes:






VERIFY ACTIVE DTC


NOTE: Ensure the IOD fuse is installed and battery voltage is between 10 and 16 volts before proceeding.

1. Turn the ignition on.
2. Using a scan tool, read DTCs.

Is the U0121-LOST COMMUNICATION WITH ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) CONTROL MODULE DTC active?


Yes

- Perform the U0121-LOST COMMUNICATION WITH ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) CONTROL MODULE diagnostic procedure. Refer to Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM)

No

- Refer to the Stored Lost Communication diagnostic procedure. Stored Lost Communication DTCs
